H1N1 Prevention at the Centre

From April 4 to 10, 2010, over 130 young Canadians, aged 14 to 17, from every corner of the country, travelled to Ottawa to recognize this great achievement in Canadian history, and to learn more about the significance of the Battle of Vimy Ridge to Canadian identity. Time seemed to fly by as our Politics in Canada participants witnessed a living example of citizenship, leadership and bilingualism in the person of Justin Trudeau. More
Sports and Fitness week focuses on the promotion of fitness as a lifestyle and gives participants the opportunity to exchange ideas on a number of sport disciplines. Past speakers have included Jean Labonté, captain of the Paralympics sledge hockey team and Canadian Olympic torch bearer, and Elizabeth Manley, figure skating Olympian, as well as sports psychologists and nutritionists. Diverse activities are offered, such as a “military-type boot camp,” yoga, biking along the canal, wall climbing, Ultimate Frisbee, Dynamic Hip Hop, skiing, and skating on the Rideau Canal, to name a few.
